Refund Policy

Last updated: 20 May 2026

Mikey is a voice-dictation app sold as a monthly subscription (€4.99/month). This page explains refunds and cancellation. Plain English, no lawyer-speak.

Try before you pay

Every Mikey account starts with a free trial — 20 minutes of dictation, no card required. That's there so you can decide whether Mikey is for you before any money changes hands. We'd much rather you use the trial than ask for a refund later.

Refunds

Because the free trial lets you fully evaluate Mikey before paying, we don't offer refunds on subscription charges once a billing period has started, except where a refund is required by applicable law.

If you believe you were charged in error — for example a duplicate charge, or a charge after you cancelled — email us and we'll make it right.

Cancelling

You can cancel your subscription at any time. When you cancel:

To cancel: open Mikey on your Mac → Settings → Account → Manage, which opens the Lemon Squeezy customer portal. You can also cancel from the link in any Lemon Squeezy billing email.

Billing is handled by Lemon Squeezy

Payments and billing for Mikey are processed by Lemon Squeezy, acting as our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy has its own buyer-protection and refund handling, and processes any refunds that are legally required (including statutory rights of consumers in the EU and elsewhere). This policy sits on top of those rights — it doesn't remove them.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy affects refund or cancellation rights you have under the consumer-protection laws of your country. Where the law gives you a stronger right than this page describes, the law wins.
